Titanium Welding Material

Titanium welding material is a filling material specifically designed for welding titanium and titanium alloys, which requires inert gas protection and specific processes to ensure that the corrosion resistance of the weld matches that of the base material.

Basic Classification:

Industrial pure titanium welding wire: such as ERTi-2, elongation rate>30%, suitable for low strength structural components;

Titanium alloy welding wire:

ERTi-7: contains 15% molybdenum and is resistant to hydrochloric acid corrosion;

ERTi-5: Al/V strengthening, strength>900MPa.

Procedure:

1. Pre weld treatment

Surface cleaning: mechanical polishing, hydrofluoric acid nitric acid pickling.

2. Gas protection:

Main protection: Welding gun with argon gas covering the melt pool;

Back protection: Pipeline argon filling/drag cover.

Application scenarios:

Chemical pressure vessel: TA9 welding wire welding reaction kettle, resistant to hydrochloric acid corrosion;

Aviation thin-walled parts: TC4 grade welding wire repair engine blades;
